Kaiju Street originates from my childhood memories. Old toys, kid animations, cheap vinyl figures, and playgrounds once shared with friends. Kaiju, meaning “monster,” refers to the heroes and villains from animation that filled my childhood.
These cartoon figures are like fragments of memory, quietly standing within a distant and unfamiliar street. They represent parts of life that are constantly shifting, breaking apart, and rebuilding. As childhood and reality continue to intertwine in my mind, this work becomes a way for me to acknowledge and gently wave goodbye to a memory that is slowly fading.
